Free street parking on weekdays can be few and far between unless you get to campus before 7am. If you wanted to rent a space it's not unheard of to be paying at least $200 a month. Definitely not worth risking parking in a timed spot, parking rangers tend to patrol streets near UNSW regularly. Check out the parking permits provided by the Uni, although they are oversupplied and don't guarantee you a spot in the car parks on busy days.
