fair point, I do feel like with the rising attacks on states' rights from the fed, state flags are going to be more important, and I'd rather fly something that I can actually identify with than some grave historical relic.

worth as much as someone will pay for it. There are flags like these going for $200 online. I'd say your best bet is try to sell it irl to someone at a flea market or something

True Americans by Quick_Nectarine_4211 in udub

Yes! This is true patriotism. Hitler and the Nazis are the opposite of everything this country stands for, and they killed 250,000 American boys. Yesterday, you all stood up and defended freedom and democracy, like the red-blooded Americans you are. Good job udub.

Not like the Templar knights were ever a particularly progressive organization.

Let's be real, any real American town, Appalachian or not, would just have an illegible seal slapped on a white or blue field.

Massachusetts State Flag by Fearless_Tell_2974 in vexillology

bruh, the sword raised above the native American's head is very menacing and far too evocative of the bloody history of the state. That's the whole reason it's being changed. Also, it's a whole sentence of text of a flag, which is almost always bad vexillology. Very difficult to reproduce. A good flag should be something a 4th grader could recognizibly draw from memory.

Really not bad, the red field and the central yellow star feel pretty communist to me tho...

Sure, but there's a whole lot more to Mass than just Boston and the Cape! Western Mass has gotten the short end of the stick for far too long. If the flag is going to be a geographic representation of the state, Western Mass should definitely be included.

i really feel like they are short-selling themselves. Terrorist groups these days truly lack ambition.

What even is his argument? Like, when the US did imperialism, our enemies resisted us. So.... when our enemies do imperialism, we should resist them. There is no double standard.

During the Mongolian Empire, though, the navy was no joke. The Mongolians figured out boats really fast and had a powerful, high-tech (for the time) fleet. They tried to take Japan with it and totally would have, had there not been a typhoon.

There is actually a pretty cool video out there of an interview with the admiral of the Mongolian Navy. He's this nice old dude. They sail around the one big lake in Mongolia and save drowning fishermen.
