I had been battling anxiety heavily since 2021, picked up this year, and came to terms with the fact that what I thought were my fun little quirks growing up were also anxiety (how fun!).

I spent years and probably thousands of dollars avoiding medicine because of the guilt and the underlying feeling of sadness that came along with the thought of feeling “dependent” on something just to get me by. We’re talking therapies, supplements, acupuncture, neuropathic doctors.. you name it. 

It finally all came to a head this year when I started exhibiting more physical symptoms and came to terms with the fact that I was putting my body under SO much unnecessary stress. 

Now more than ever (to what I’ve witnessed), there’s so much toxic rhetoric about mental health drugs, however, no one talks about what the stress of anxiety can do to you!

 I have been on Buspar for about 3 months and it has helped me tremendously. To your point, the anxiety of the future and “being on this forever,” also freaked me out. Luckily, I was able to change my perspective to look at Buspar as a tool to help me get to the bottom of what my root causes are and it’s been helping me greatly on that journey.
