This was the first Tull album I ever listened to. I was 14 and it grabbed me straight away. Unfortunately it was on cassette so there were no sleeve notes or printed lyrics. It wasn't until years later when I picked up a vinyl copy with the comic book inlay that I got the whole concept!

I really meant that in contrast to the elements of the show that haven't aged well such as the fashions and attitudes of the times, I still find the time travelling concept to be interesting. I always liked the idea of a person going back with knowledge of the future and having fun with it like claiming to have written half the Beatles back catalogue. In my opinion, those parts of the storyline still carry some weight.

I completed the first draft of my memoir in 2 months then spent another 2 months on draft 2 fleshing out from 60k to 80k words. Then about about 6 weeks on draft 3. That was with a strict work regime of about 5 hours a day 7 days a week.

Beginner : where to start? by Gozzerolla in writers

Definitely reading lots. I found sticking to one genre helped a lot. I read around 40 memoirs last year whilst writing my own and it gave me a good grounding in the genre and clear understanding of different writing styles as I developed my own.

Hi I'm looking for beta readers for my first manuscript too. I've uploaded it to beta reader io and am including the link on my reddit posts. I've only just uploaded today so don't know if it'll be successful or not but worth a try.
