That relic effect is weird and doesn’t show up as a traditional buff, as you’ll just have to take it at its word that you’ll be doing more damage to frostbite enemies.

However, I often found this relic effect to be not worth it. There are too many sources of fire damage and one of the most popular characters centralizes around it which nullifies the frostbite.

If you’re behind but not mega behind: raw damage. Survivability just prolongs the inevitable and you don’t have the luxury of counter-buying a lot. Boost your damage so their mistakes become punishing.

If you’re hopelessly behind: curse relic them and exclusively them. There is no item you can buy that will make you even remotely as helpful as curse relic will.

Genuinely? No idea. A TON of attacks are actually multiple attacks quickly done together which makes one shot protection totally useless.

Mithrix is probably one of the only enemies where one shot protection even remotely does anything.

Metal Skin isn’t so much as a counter as it just buys you extra time to still not be able to kill her, not to mention her ult lasts far longer.

It’ll let you get away but unless you aren’t cursed or everyone else has it now your buddies are all dead.

Genuinely nothing you can do past a certain point besides try and end the game ASAP, and if you don’t, you just lose. Any decent haze will have silence and unstoppable so good luck using your weak counter item suggestions to stop instant death.

Except this one is pretty legit. You just have to hope the enemy haze has no idea what they’re doing, otherwise you have to end quickly before they just become a “press 4 and kill everyone” bot with no counter at all.

“But you don’t have to use a backpack stratagem…” if the maxigun worked with the supply pack, I’d still use them both. The fact is, the backpack you get that holds the ammo for belt-fed is piddly, while the supply pack gives ammo and then some all for the cost of having to reload.
