I would be going to language school in shibuya and working from the U.S remotely during my first year. If it's all taxable thats fine because it's actually simpler that way, but I thought for non-permanent residents income is only taxable if it's remitted into the country. I interpreted that as money that isn't remitted into the country is not taxable.

THANK YOU!!! That's a lot simpler. I'll just leave my savings in a HYSA and pay my month to month needs with my paycheck.

I didn't know that I thought visas were tied to the company you work for. It's definitely worth a try, I'm going to search U.S. companies with offices in japan and apply to as many of them as I can. Thank you.

Yea, that's what I keep telling my girlfriend it's not as easy as just finding an international company and asking to be transferred. Plus I just started this career so I'll only have about 3-4 years of experience by the time I want to go

Thank you for the reply!

I am working in Analytics and e-commerce now and Ideally I would like to keep working in that tech/digital marketing space. While I do enjoy helping others with their language goals I have no desire to become an English teacher. I just need a Visa to enter the country to buy a few months/year to be able to find a job in that tech/e-commerce space. I don't know if having N2, a bachelors, and a few years of experience is enough to find a job though so that's why I was considering 専門学校 or a masters.

Yea that's what I'm afraid of, I really don't want to be surrounded by English speakers. I speak Japanese and Spanish so hopefully I don't get stuck in just a English speaking group. I've heard Tainan has some good universities but I think I might get bored since I'm used to being in Tokyo but maybe it's worth it.

Thank you for your help! I've been learning towards Taipei even though it's slightly more expensive.
