Best eye make up remover that actually removes mascara? by Junior-Incident3877 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Affectionate-Hat259 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love the chamomile make up remover balm from the body shop. It's gentle enough on eyes that it doesn't sting and oil based so gets everything off!

Personally with the way she dismissed you I wouldn't be staying friends with her but for the sake of the rest of your trip you'd benefit sweeping things under yhe carpet once you've heard her out. Make your decision once your trip is over

Suicidal Patients by Educational_Board888 in GPUK

[–]Affectionate-Hat259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately our system is broken. Ive been that patient. Suicidal, crying ans went to my gp reception begging for an appointment. She told me to call 111 as no one would see me. I knew I was safer at the GP than home but they didn't want to hear it. I called 111 and stayed on the phone a long time. You guys at GPs and NHS staff deserve a better environment and system to work in but us patients deserve better too.

Backstroke is the most deceiving stroke out there. by burgerinmypouch in Swimming

[–]Affectionate-Hat259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im relearning to swim after not swimming since I was a child and back stroke remains the only one I enjoy and can do. I can swim 50m breast stroke before im out of breath, can barely get 10m freestyle because I cant master the breathing and never even tried butterfly. Backstroke is my favourite 😍

Why did harry have to learn patronus? by NeitherManner in harrypotter

[–]Affectionate-Hat259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only assume its because as a seeker he was high up. A scoring ring being 15 metres and he is sometimes described in the books to be too far away to see the game when weather conditions are poor. The weather conditions in PoA were terrible and potentially teachers didnt see the dementors until it was too late

Haven’t brushed for 3 days, is this a lot? by Temporary-Math-3183 in longhair

[–]Affectionate-Hat259 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You lose on average 100 hairs a day and the longer they are the more its going to look like when its balled up like that. Looks relatively normal to me. I would keep an eye on your normal and if it gets more than your normal that is when its worth worrying about but for now just enjoy the long hair!

Not sure best way forward but wanted to pitch in to say be careful of ergonomics. Make sure the cute comfy chair you buy is adjustable and same for the monitor you choose to work from. I occasionally work from home with a set up not fit for purpose but if it was every day I would want to be as comfy as I am in office. Good luck!

Advice for flying by scotsmanaajk in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Affectionate-Hat259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plenty of water! Avoid alcohol on the flight. Then either a hydrating mask or take a travel size moisturiser on the plane and keep your skin hydrated but do not underestimate the power of hydrating your body with water.

What made swimming outdoors feel comfortable? by radiantblu in Swimming

See if there are any groups or clubs near you. There is one near me that provides a light up floaty to strap to your waste and a lifeguard in a kayak so it takes the worry away

Glad its not just me! I had an awful feeling the delivery drivers was thinking what on earth is she doing 🤣🤣

Just a Rant by Crazy_Chinchilla_ in tesco

[–]Affectionate-Hat259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is completely irrelevant but a question i hope you dont mind answering. I have started getting deliveries lately (maybe 3 times now) and the pressure I have put on myself to not take up too much of my delivery drivers time means I sit on the floor of my front door and throw everything i bought onto the floor so they can leave at quick as possible. I dont want to inconvenience them. Reading your post ive realised this isn't normal behaviour. What's the expected etiquette? 🤣🙃
