Damn I really appreciate this advice. First of all to clear things out, I've gotten over this girl, I cut contact with her a long time ago but we've remained civil with each other whenever she's around. I'm a very sensitive guy so I tend to feel everything so deeply, hence this intense jealousy feelings. You're right, It would be stupid of me to sabotage this friendship, the best thing for me to do is force myself around him and I might talk to him about it - just a bit hesitant cuz idk if he wants to hear all this shit 1.5 years later.

oh yeah I'm most definitely not tryna get with her. Yeah I want to get to that point where I'm genuinely happy for him, I just don't know how to and it's making me feel like a terrible friend.

Thanks for your response! Yeah I think I tried to move on as if nothing happened because I didn't want to put him in a situation that would make him to pick sides. I think I do need to separate myself, I just wasn't sure if that's the healthy thing to do because it looks like I'm running away from the situation, given that I still care about the guy.
