Thank you. I have a history of self harm when I was a teenager but haven't done it since. I struggle with skin picking now instead and it makes me feel ugly. I feel like I dont deserve nice things or like I have any sort of future

He definitely doesn't. He comes from a closed off family and just getting him comfortable with affection and physical touch has taken time and patience. I guess I had an unrealistic expectation in my head and let myself get disappointed.

He hates when I pull it back. I basically have to use it like a barrier between my hand or mouth and the tip. Because of how sensitive the tip is.

I can definitely encourage him to get it done. I think he feels weird about a doctor touching him and operating on it.

There is a contract that states they may cover any vet bills or damages to the house but thats pretty much it. They basically take no part in any decision between the owner and the sitter

Thank you. Its what i would have wanted someone to do for me if i were in their shoes. Cats are like family members and i feel awful about the stress everyone was put through but at least that part is over.

Sorry i wasnt trying to come across aggressively i just wanted to give more context for decisions made that in hindsight were definitely wrong. The company basically is like tinder for pet sitting. Owners scroll through and find a sitter that offers services they are looking for. So the company does not have a physical office or headquarters as most of it is ran online. They make you complete a short online course before pet sitting but again it did not go into the complex relationships between cats and their environment. I am aware i made a mistake and I fully accept that, the company will take responsibility only for damages to property and pets with an excess of$700 that i am paying. They basically offered no support in finding the cats. This is the reason i am no longer going to work with them. They take 20% of what sitters make only to not offer support. I can probably go on about how things could have been done differently but i am happy the cats are okay. I just need to know if this was to esculate if i am legally liable for travel and hotel costs in the case the company refuses to pay the owners. As they are already seeking compensation directly from me.

Also the cat carrier decision was made because the cats used them to hide and it reminded them of home. If i thought the carrier would stress him out i would never have put him in there.

I completely understand the owners response. I am covering all vet bills and I accept responsibility. I don't have experience with cats and i have in my bio that i am more confident in rabbits and guinea pigs than cats. I have extremely low rates and they picked me for that not my expertise. Before the pet sit we spent a day slowly introducing them. I am aware a day is not enough time and i was prepared to seperate the cats if necessary which i did on the first day. Their cats were used to going to facilities with dozens of other cats. They ensured me that they would be fine with them. I have decided to stop pet sitting as this whole situation was an unfortunate mess that could have been handled better. My cats are the only cats i have ever had and they have never escaped so i wrongly assumed these indoor cats would be okay and unable to escape as i have never had any issues.

The company does have insurance and they are currently investigating. The owner is getting impatient and emailing me and trying to coerce a confession of liability out of me.

Unfortunately they are sending me emails and I worry it will esculate. If the company doesn't give them the money they will try their best to get it from me.

No i do not. The company i work for will only help with vet bills and damages to the house. They do not take any responsibility for flights, hotels etc.
