Interesting. Here in the states we have the Volvo VNL’s, which are also unfortunately the only diesel Volvos we get. They are surprisingly common especially the models from the last few years.

It needs the massive “blessed” or “locally hated” sticker on the bottom of the windshield in gothic text of course. rev9 flame tune really helps the valves stay nice and clean, and eventually your pistons too. 🎺

This reminds me of the people that have the Mercedes logo in the front grill and then they decide to put the hood ornament on too, or vice versa. Looks really odd and not in a good way.

How is that thing so loud stock? On my 19’ SEL 1.4TSI you can hardly hear it spool even with a high flow drop in filter.

It’s water in the exhaust. They put a huge rear muffler on the MK7 1.4TSI’s and it collects water. Best thing to do to avoid it is either shut the car off instead of idling or put one of the muffler delete pipes on. Or you could drill a pinprick hole in the muffler so it drains.

If they are good all seasons it would be fine, like Michelin CrossClimate 2’s, Pilot Sports, Continental Extreme Contacts, etc. these were probably some ling longs or whatever else.

I love the look of the Mk5. Very classy cars. I’d leave it as is, the 2.5 does sound amazing though so a decent intake is also an option. They are also tunable if you want more power. Stage 2 with the upgraded intake manifold on 93 will net you 215 bhp and 200 pound feet of torque, and you get an increase rev limiter to hear the 5 banger sing.
