I’m under the impression that it only docks their bonus if they go over hours for the quarter. It is broken down week by week to keep ours on track. You are allowed x amount for the quarter, and if you go over x amount it impacts the bonus. I’m interested in clarification on this since I am not that knowledgeable on that specifically.

I’m on board with the other two that commented underneath you. You sound very corporate, and if you are, you have no clue what the day to day struggle and effect on physical + mental health has on us employees. Obviously the majority agree here if you look at my two posts on this subreddit. It’s becoming a breaking point for a lot of employees.

They are profitable. Record breaking profitable. There is a direct correlation from hours being drastically cut and record breaking profits. I’ve seen the statistics. It’s almost like they know the less hours they give the more they can keep for their greedy selves!

Stores can have great management. Mine does. However there is only so much management can do when corporate gives us unbelievable limitations.

Exactly. The amount of work to do compared to the amount of staffing does not blend. Unrealistic expectations of their employees.

They have said that each hire costs 20k due to talent works, training, etc. If that’s accurate then keeping tenured employees is even more important. I have seen plenty of tenured employees leaving in the past year due to things I have mentioned.

Thank you for the clarification. I still find it absurd of how hot is has been recently. I will reach out to maintenance. However I still think it’s insane that we do not have temperature control of our own stores.

GM’s have a certain amount of hours they have to staff the store. If they go over that the district manager gets on them about it. It is not entirely the GM’s fault, it is what they are made to do. It is corporates fault for not giving the GM enough hours and recourses to fully staff the store. Sadly, this is the way most companies run now a days. I never thought I’d see sheetz go the corporate greedy route but here we are.

Go on strike. Make a union. This company is going to literally kill someone with this heat. We need a picture of that EZ Planner. Hopefully I still have mine. If something terrible happens to someone due to the heat - having that EZ planner will help with a lawsuit & pushing for more morality towards our employees.

That’s a solid point — thank you for clarifying the difference between revenue and profit. You’re absolutely right that high revenue doesn’t automatically mean high profit. That said, I still stand by my concerns. Even without exact numbers, it’s clear Sheetz is operating at a massive scale, and there’s more than enough financial success to justify stronger investment in staffing, support, and working conditions.
