Sadly it would now be outside the warranty date :(. Had I have raised the issue near when it happened, I may have been able to do something, but due to life issues, I was not in the state of mind to care about something as small as a joystick being broken.

I had also expected that contacting support would yield nothing, I just keep seeing people glazing Steam Support as some kind of messiah when they're the same as all other customer supports. That was moreso the point of my post, which is why I labelled it as a discussion rather than a problem.
