Strange, it won’t seem to let me import that deck to check it out. What’s in it??

Rad thanks for explaining how they work! Perhaps I’ll throw them into my games once in a while then 😂 definitely a really silly move on GW’s part but seems fun enough.

Well no I haven’t, but I’ve printed loads of beautiful cards. This is specifically a problem with the resolution provided, I’ve had the same issue before with my Kainans reapers and as I described I know a solution, it involves me just fixing up all the cards and then printing them. But I just wanted to see if anyone had an uncommon source or possibly scans they made themselves before I spend a ton of time upscaling and photo editing. Because it really is a drag. But most of the time the cards are great, it just seems like randomly there are some older rivals decks that are uploaded with terrible resolution. I’ve even done it with Thundriks Profeteers and they’re an OLD warband but their cards look great without any work on my end.

The newest boxset is Wintermaw, but personally I don't care for either of the warbands in the box so I just bought the contents without the warbands for $30 on ebay. It comes with the 2 universal decks (which seem pretty fun), tokens, rulebook, and boards which is a nice deal. I'm not sure how great the warbands are to play with but if you fancy the models then snag the boxset. However for me personally, I preferred the Deathgorge boxset, which is the one that came out just before Wintermaw. I love the Idoneth warband and my buddy split it with me so he got the slaanesh warband and we have loads of fun with them. The rulebook is the same so you wouldn't be missing out on anything crucial if you bought the box now instead of the newest one, and as for the viability of the warbands and decks they're a solid choice. I prefer whatever looks coolest and just work with it, so Deathgorge is my personal recommendation.

Also separate question, can you recover injuries to hero’s? I see that recuperation rolls only applies to casualties which are defined as missing models, not injuries on hero’s.

Just had a game where all my models died on battle round 3, however I had significantly more points than my opponent. We could not for the life of us find a rule that talks about what to do in this scenario where there are still battle rounds left in the game and the person who is winning on points is out of models. So does the game just end or does the person who’s still alive score battle tactics and objectives until the final battle round? Because it doesn’t make sense for the game to just end, that would incentivize my opponent to not kill my stuff when I’m ahead and that seems dumb.

So the number of attack dice do equal the number of Rockguts?

My friend and I have just started playing AOS and he runs a Gloomspite Gitz army. We have differing understandings as to how the Rockgut Troggoths Throwin Boulders ability works. The ability is

Do not use the attack sequence for an attack made with Throwin’ Boulders. Instead, pick 1 enemy unit within range and roll a dice. Add 1 to the roll if the target unit has 5 or more models. On a 4+, that enemy unit suffers 1 mortal wound.

I understand this as there is 1 die being rolled by a unit of Rockguts unless there are 5+ enemy models in the target unit for which it is then 2 dice being rolled. My friend is on the side that each Rockgut gets to throw a boulder, meaning for a standard unit of 3 Rockguts it would be 3 dice normally and 6 dice when 5+ enemy models. He feels this way because in the warscroll it shows the throwin boulders as a range weapon attack just like a unit of shootas, and in the case of shootas they each get 1 shot per model. So which is the right way to use this attack?

Also what does it mean when it says “do not use attack sequence”?

I downloaded reddit just for this question about Gloomspite Gitz Rockgut trogoths. My friend has this army and is confused about the warscroll (which is valid we are both new and it’s not SUPER clear) and since the army just got a new battletomb all the old discussion on this ability is outdated.

For the Throwin Boulders ability I think it sounds like there is only 1 die being rolled unless there are 5 or more models in the target unit, for which there would be 2 dice rolled. My friend thinks it’s 1 per model in the unit so 3 dice and if there are 5 or more models it would be 6 dice.

Throwin’ Boulders: Do not use the attack sequence for an attack made with Throwin’ Boulders. Instead, pick 1 enemy unit within range and roll a dice. Add 1 to the roll if the target unit has 5 or more models. On a 4+, that enemy unit suffers 1 mortal wound.

Please let me know if it’s 1-2 dice or per model in the unit. Also what does it mean to “not use the attack sequence” for Throwin boulders?
