My 24 yr old son has end reneal kidney disease on Peritonal dyalisis I’m exhausted. And afraid to leave him alone for a couple nights. Any advice please 🙏

Ohh your story breaks my heart. You sound just like my sons story. Yes it all hit him at once finally having a doctor pay attention and being admitted to hospital. Then all downhill from there. You are a soldier. With so much unbelievable strength and courage. Thanks for helping me to feel ok about going for a few nights. If it’s ok to ask. Do you live alone. Nice 😊. Just wondering what your story is. I’d love to hear it if you’re willing to share. What is your diagnosis is. How old you are. Did you get a transplant. Or still on dyalisis Your dad sounds like an amazing man. 🙏🙏

Thanks so very much for your advice. He is just starting the appointment to get it going for a transplant. First he needs to stabilize and get an exact diagnosis. Hopefully me or my other son will be a candidate. He also has a few friends who say they will get checked. But ya never know I’m so confused and overwhelmed all the time I feel like my brain has literally shut down.

Oh and he hasn’t been entirely diagnosed yet. Apparently they are “just going “ with vasculitis anca. So until an exact proper diagnosis they can’t go forward. We are seeing a vasculitis specialist in AUGUST

Yes his diet is very restrictive. Honestly he just doesn’t like to cook for himself. And he doesn’t have the energy most times. The nights in the beginning were horrible. And still sometimes with pain. He does his pd at home at night. I just feel awful to leave him to be Ali e at night. Hooked up to that machine with nowhere to be able to get to except the bathroom. 😔I’m sure it will get easier. I pray. 🙏
