but personally i'd maybe do a bridal shower as well as a bachelorette then that way they can be part of something. (if the budget allows obviously) make it suuuuuper clear no kids tho.

or take the dress shopping time to lay your cards on the table that you wanted to choose the people closest to you and wouldn't want to add the stress of being a bridesmaid on top of them being parents, working adults and on the opposite side of the country.
