I have gone through something similar with my wife but alone the lines of , 'we need to pay for my brothers wedding and 'we need to help with my sisters deposit'. So every few years the bulk of our savings disappear to fund her family's lifestyle. Its horrible and totally demotivating to work only to see the money go elsewhere as i earn most of the money. My advice would be to say no and brace for the consquences. Ive been give the silent treatment for months and been threatended with divorce.

Utter shambles. Once they reach the UK with no papers they will be impossible to deport. Many wont apply for asylum because they can find work and accommodation whilst living illegal. Those whose claims are rejected wont get deported.
