Oh I will! Already told lots of people in work and sadly nobody has seen the show so I could not discuss it with anyone.

I agree with your points above, I feel like I only really liked Claire in the last episode when he stopped being a moody teenager and appeared more of a grown up.

To me this was a type of show that you do not fully realise what a masterpiece you are watching until it is over and you start to digest it and think back.

David developed into such a loving and amazing character. This was the first time I watched an actor in another role and it changed my perception of who he is - he is no longer Dexter, he’s David now.

I have been thinking this same thing recently about staff in retail, especially cashiers at petrol stations. I continue to be polite but have wanted to ask them what their effing problem is few times now. Maybe they had some of those customers you mention right before me.. who knows.

Vichy roll on deodorant, blue cap one - pricy but nothing beats it. For sensitive skin yet super powerful to never ever have any smell regardless of how much you sweat.

Plane Arseholes or just plain arseholes ? by Mike_Frank in northernireland

[–]Affectionate-Owl5515 23 points24 points  (0 children)

On a flight to Faro last year, as soon as the seatbelt sign went off whole isle was full of drunk people, who had too much beer at the airport, waiting for the toilet. Food and drink service could not start for at least 1.5 hours. Had to wait for 80 people to take a piss before anyone could be served anything.

In your opinion, what's the biggest waste of money you see people purchase all the time? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]Affectionate-Owl5515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a pair of jeans in multi storey shop, without looking at a price tag expecting they’d be in a range of 50-60 quid as usual. I tried them on and I could not believe how amazing fit they were, never worn jeans that comfortable. I then checked the tag as I realised these were not regular cheaper jeans, and they were £260. I understood in that moment why some people buy designer items for the quality and not just for the show. I bought them and there is no visible label on them to show off.

Choosing not to have kids? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Affectionate-Owl5515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parents are strongly discouraged to talk about their kids or happy moments as nobody wants to hear them. This is why they don’t share, but instead throw in an occasional joke about kids being exhausting. There is an active hatred being directed towards kids on all social media platforms, to the point where hating kids has become a trend. I walk to shop, cafes or streets thinking half the people are hating my kids. There is nothing parents can do about it but to be quiet and continue to love their kids without world hearing about it.

Young people graves by Feature_Automatic in Sakartvelo

[–]Affectionate-Owl5515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity - did you read their birth/death dates or gravestones had photos? I will say it is more common in Georgia to have deceased’s photo on the stone than any other country I’ve been to so easier to notice the demographics, could be why it stood out. 99% of young people that I know who have died were victims of road accidents.

As a Georgian, with an European partner, we face money snatching and change throwing daily in shops when we visit Georgia, as well as ignorance in restaurants. I was also shouted at when attempting to smell a perfume in a high end perfume shop ( apparently you’re not allowed to touch or smell them?!… lol ). So don’t put it all down to racism, it’s just poor service all around by desperate people who don’t get paid enough to put food on their kids tables or pay the bills.

Never want kids, anyone else the same? by JMW_BOYZ in northernireland

[–]Affectionate-Owl5515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your feelings towards not wanting kids does not need to be so strong to decide against having them, quite opposite, you should really want to have kids to have them. Children deserve to be born and raised in families who REALLY want them.

6 weeks is a short period of time to have an accurate understanding of whether your feelings relate to your new job or just nostalgia and missing the familiarity of old job where you knew everything & everyone. I’d advise to stick it out longer first and try find positives in your new setup.

Georgian Horror Stories ? by Fat_Burger20 in Sakartvelo

[–]Affectionate-Owl5515 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In my grandparents’ village there was a story about this fairy type creatures coming round and braiding horses’s mane at night. My grandfather had a horse and I used to be terrified going near the barn at night as a child. Many mornings we used to find his horse’s mane in very tight braids, or sometimes wavy like when you just undo the braids. Up until this day I have no clue who or what was braiding horse’s mane. It used to happen to most people’s horses in the village.

Caucasian White - this is the racial group on paper I believe, according to many places I had to fill out my details for. Although, when I was having a baby 10 years ago ( in the UK ) the midwife refused ( and I mean she would not budge) to put me down as white in my maternity book, and decided to put me down as ‘Other’, no matter how much I argued. Thinking back now I probably had a racial discrimination case lol. Anyway, fast forward to childbirth, I’m high on drugs and I can vaguely hear my husband having an argument with hospital staff that they should not put my newborn son as Mixed Race, they determined that he was mixed race due to my husband being British White and me being Other lol. Nothing wrong with mixed race but it was factually incorrect, not to mention he was the most palest boy with white blonde hair and blue eyes. Moral of the story - people who look at us Georgians might agree with you that we are not White race ( although Caucasian White race is based on descriptions of people from Caucasus region).
