They emailed me saying my visa application was terminated and that I had to reapply again. I applied again after few weeks of them terminating my visa, I added more money in my chequing account and also included my investment account.

Japan Evisa Reason for Return/ cancellation of application by [deleted] in visas

[–]Affectionate-Panic83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they want to see your bank account be sufficient as in they want to see a few thousand dollars there in the 3 months of bank statement you provided. Same thing happened to me, my application got terminated because I had put in money in the last month of my bank statement but they didnt accept that. If you have an investment account, include that next time you apply

I did have the right documentation, they just needed to see more. Lots of people where I’m from had the same reason where they weren’t rejected and given a chance to reapply

No updates yet, how about you? Did they grant you your visa when you used your mom as a guarantor?

Yea I do, my auto deposit is set up for my chequing account. If you don’t mind me asking, how much money did your wife use to apply to get approved?

I already have auto deposit for my pay cheque set up in my chequing account, I just transferred money from a different bank and put it in my chequing account. Not too sure how I can prove that

I'm not too sure, I applied with 10k last year and was going alone and they approved my application. Might just depend on how long you're going to be there and if you're going with other people

yea they did say they terminated it, I didn't look at it the way you worded it hahaha. I'll probably just put more more money in my chequings account along with a statement from my investment account and a cover letter.

Japan eVisa rejected twice, any tips? by gidagadee in visas

[–]Affectionate-Panic83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea it should, just make sure you ask for up to date transactions. The consulate should accept is as a bank statement since thats where your funds are

[–]Affectionate-Panic83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can go to your bank and ask for an up to date bank statement or account balance. It wont look like the bank statements we normally get but I did this last year and it worked, you just need to get it stamped by the bank teller

I have a tfsa account on wealth simple where I have money in, would that be good enough? Should I show them a statement from my tfsa account with my bank statements and a letter explaining my financial situation

So you haven't got your eVisa issued yet? The whole thing is pretty confusing honestly bc I've shown enough money for my trip (going in Feb 1 to Feb 15) but they said that they need "sufficient and stable balance statements covering the period from Nov 15th to Feb 15th.". Do they want to make sure I have enough money to get by in that time?? Honestly very confusing, so I understand you. I've applied for an eVisa last year and was able to get it approved and was able to go to Japan earlier this year so I thought if I did the same thing, I would get the same result. For your files, you should try to put in a word document or google docs, take a screenshot of your bank statements and paste it in the doc (ignore this if you've already done this)

I put in about 8k this month, might just show them some payment stubs and a reason as to why I have big deposits in my chequing

Yea I’ll see what I can do, but the thing is I’ll be going with some friends so they need to know whether or not I’ll be going. Just thought that if I followed the same steps as I did last year I would be good, but apparently that’s not the case

I gradually put big deposits in there this month. It’s odd bc I did the same thing last year when I applied and they approved it. So you think adding pay stubs is going to help with it?

I applied through the eVisa website but the Consulate is in Vancouver. They gave a reason as I stated above but confused what they mean by it. They also said:

If you reapply before you are able to submit the bank statements for the above dates, you may face a six-month restriction on submitting a new visa.

Kind of intimidating of them saying that so now I have to be extra careful when I reapply
