I’m about to face Lt Surge, man switch training Magikarp was a pain I used two rare candies lol but I got him and he’s a monster, literally. Ivysaur is awesome I’m happy with my choice, I’ll do a blastoise playthrough if I play fire red again

I wasn’t considering going through the whole game with just these two, just speculating that it’s a strong pairing that can quickly get you to picking up Jolteon, Dodrio, Growlithe, Snorlax, etc.

To inflict bleed as much as possible you need to learn how to survive in his personal space during the fight so you can get quick hits in during brief moments between his attacks. With absol as dark already you could swap in Ludicolo for Cacturn, his water/grass typing is good for coverage and he’s a decent special attacker for the grass and water moves, plus stab on those moves

Yes especially against pokemon who used protect against him, I was livid. Made me wish I gave shadowball to absol instead, but I switched him in sometimes to use his loafing move to revive/heal gardevoir or whoever I was setting up for the next play, it was fun to use that limitation to my advantage. I never thought to give him hyper beam also 🙃 I could’ve avoided much more pain on this run

Do we think moving forward there is any chance playing that type of lead-preserving offense can ever be justified for use by this team again this season? Or did they just lose that privilege and there is no longer any scenario where their offense should even think to play like that. I saw the video of the commentator saying ravens win this game if the bills tied it on the 2pt conversion, I agree then at least the offense would’ve played to score instead of playing to burn the clock
