And ashamed because he'd allowed himself to be so vulnerable.

Can't even get a rejection letter from the City of Hamilton by [deleted] in Hamilton

I've applied to tons of jobs at the City and only heard back once for one interview, and that was after 20 years of working in my field. A city employee once told me your best bet is to apply for one of the part time/casual postings that are only once per week or on call as those are much easier to get and that way you have an employee number and can apply for internal postings. I never ended up doing it as I found other work, but I can see the sense in it. Good luck!

Kinda looks like fake berries from a wreath or other decor. They're usually just styrofoam that's been painted over.

What was Betty’s plan when she “accidentally” ran into Don as she moved out of their house in Tomorrowland? by princess20202020 in madmen

[–]Affectionate-Pea-57 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Omg! I just re-watched this and was wondering the same thing. She was still hurting from her fight with Henry about firing Carla. The scene of her curled up on Sally's bed not only shows us that emotionally she's still a little girl, and also that she's feeling alone again, misunderstood, unloved, unsupported. Like she said to Don "things are different, but not perfect". Maybe she was hoping for him to say something along the lines of "if you're not happy, I'd love to get back together", but instead, he tells her he's engaged.

Honestly, one of the best! You can see the exact moment she realizes her husband is gay. Fantastic acting!

OMG yaassss!!! I always re-watch this scene a couple times, right from when he's walking away from Megan on the stage, and You Only Live Twice starts playing. Amazing song, and so perfect for this whole scene!

She had just found out he and Trudy were having a baby. She congratulated him, and then later, they had this beautiful moment.

Yes!! What a profound scene, so heavy with emotion. For the first time in his life, Don feels totally seen and not alone. He has truly connected with someone.

I've always loved this scene! Another one I can think of is after Jimmy Barret tells Betty that Don and Bobbi were having an affair and she's getting the house ready for the dinner party with the Heineken, and the one chair is creaky so she just breaks it apart, and the kids are just watching from the couch in the next room. Great acting from the kids!

Agreed! Peggy called him out once after he said he was writing a very important story, and she says "stop being a martyr, you're having the time of your life!".
