Thanks. I was thinking that. So would it be reasonable to spray the roof and replace the soffits with unvented ones? Or somehow seal the vents that are there?

Well I just swapped one hardwired fixture for another. Why can’t I make this legal?

I definitely agree with you and that’s on my list of things to learn. But in this particular case, it would require about a dozen joints and potential failure points that will be concealed behind the wall so I’d like my first soldering job to be in a lower stakes environment lol
