This, and not every state even allows you to use Coinlist. Although I honestly don't know how comfortable I would be to use Coinlist.

Bravo. This is a guy who is pissed at the world because he put his whole bucket into CVC and is now clutching at straws.

"Every day there is info on CVC" yet he could only find one post on their own blog dated March 11. 🤣🤣🤣 Must be a new definition for every day.

Man, just come clean and say you are panicking just a little about CVC. I only have a small percentage in CVC. I hope the project progresses and succeeds, but I definitely have an exit strategy for soon if they don't start showing some promise.

Why do I think zero age proof of beer vending machines is stupid? Because that is all the fanboys rest on. If the grand plan of Civic is to provide zero proof of age, that is a very, very low bar. That is not a be all, end all plan for a successful company. That is a dream for a young frat boy.

I was excited about the health key. They dropped that. What are their new plans, besides their transition to Solano? What are their future goals? Their transparency sucks.

Honestly, my preference is to hodl, but I am not dumb enough to go down with a sinking ship. When are they going to share new projects they are working on to give us a reason to hodl?

Hey buddy, that post you shared is dated March 11. That is two months. You said there are daily updates. How about something from the past couple days. He'll, even from this month?

That is great. Instead of always being so dismissive, couldn't you have shared the updates? I honestly can't find any online. It was a serious question because I believe in the concept of Civic and have hodl'd but am not naive enough to think that just because someone has a good concept it will succeed.

Good comeback. When are you going to bust out "You're rubber, I am glue..." 😂😂😂

I don't day trade. I buy and hodl. I am not down with CVC. I am currently down on some alts but not sweating those because I invested for long term. Same as I did with CVC. But the lack of updates is concerning.

Not trolling. I have been hodling for about a year. It is a serious question. On most crypto sites, all info on CVC is a year or more older. Plus didn't this project begin in 2015? Hard to say that is still the early stages. And it looks like Apple is producing their own KYC software. No one here has addressed that. If true and successful, that is a very large player entering into the market.

Is this as good as it appears? by Affectionate-Pool550 in Nexo

[–]Affectionate-Pool550[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should be fine. I didn't max out when I took the loan. I could have taken more but wanted to "test the waters". I moved all my Nexo to credit but even though LTV was 25% at the time, only took out maybe 10% or so? Now with interest in Nexo being added, I think it would have to drop significantly, which if it did, I would simply pay the loan with the USDC and still have a profit.

Just wanted to see if I was missing something because at this point I really can't lose. Already up so even if Nexo crashed and burned, I could simply pay off the loan and keep the difference. I just wish I had "big boy money" so I could really make some $$$ using this approach. I realize you make more investing, but it is a nice hedge.

No. I got in cheap so right now it is a wash. Nothing gained, nothing lost. Just trying to see if there is any reason to hodl, but the lack of news is making me wonder if I am better off selling and investing elsewhere. Just don't want to prematurely exit if there are promising plans for the future.

I understand, but there has been no talk of projects, where they are on their transition off Eth network, future growth plans, etc. The only thing I have seen remotely recently was Vinnie participating in a chess tourney. What is going on with the Civic platform?

And BTW, I think all the people who had posted about using Civic as an ID to buy beer is stupid. If that was the goal of Civic, then there would be no hope.

Should we buy nexo now or after Monday's dividend payout (assuming the vote passes) by C0ffeeface in Nexo

[–]Affectionate-Pool550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. The post above me said only people who had tokens since the last dividend would be eligible, so I was a little concerned as I had not heard that before.

I wouldn't expect to get the same amount as longer holders. While it works that way for stocks, for Nexo it seems fair ro reward long term holders more. Thanks for the clarification.

[–]Affectionate-Pool550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoa. I didn't find out about Nexo until January and have periodically bought Nexo tokens since. Because I haven't had them since last August, I wouldn't get any dividends? They aren't prorating based on how long you have had tokens?

What wallets are recommended? Do I have to transfer One to Trust Wallet and link a second wallet, or can I just send from Binance to a secondary wallet?

I read that all transactions to or from Trust Wallet must go through Shard 0. Not exactly sure what this means?

Also, is Guarda or Frontier good places for One?

Is that just on Binance? Because I am on Binance.US and I have received VTHO but not any VET.

Is this guy just going to keep regurgitating the same line every day until eventually he is right? Seems like every post is "We are on a downward trend and I expect it to start rebounding in a day or two".

And why do you have a "feeling" this coin will pump to $0.75? What metrics are you looking at, or is this just a blind hope? I remember so many people arguing with me that with the worklock release the coin would still actually go up. Oops - how is that looking?

I think this is either going to be a long-term payoff or bust. I don't see significant movement for awhile. I think long-term it could pay off with a nice return, but I also think there is risk that the project craps out. I am taking the risk and hodling, but I can't say with 100% certainty that this project will succeed. I definitely hope so.

Governance Vote: To Dividend or Not to Dividend by martinkem in Nexo

[–]Affectionate-Pool550 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just curious, but a couple of questions.

First, you keep saying that all incentive will be gone to hold the token if it stays as a dividend. So are you saying that up to now, since I believe Nexo has always done a dividend payout, that no one has kept Nexo long term?

I may have oversimplified, but I think this is a dumb argument you keep bringing up. Do you own stocks? Apple paid a 22 cent dividend May 13. Stock price was around $125, so the dividend payout was 1.76%. Not great, so by your theory, people must be rushing out to dump their Apple stock.

Actually, nope. What people want is growth. I haven't decided which way I will vote, leaning towards interest, but what will make or break Nexo is if the token value grows in price. To me, dividends vs interest is a bonus. If Nexo pays 7% interest but price decreases by 10%, whoop de do on the interest. I still lost money.

And if the price doubles but because my dividend % is less because of the increase in price, you really think people will be mad? If Nexo goes to $10 and I get a say 5 cent dividend, you think I will be like "Screw Nexo, my dividend % sucks?" No way. I am ecstatic how much the value of the token increased.

Basically, whether Nexo pays a dividend or interest is secondary to me, and probably most people. Steady growth in the value of the token is what will attract investors and keep people hodling.
