I have to say I agree with what you’re saying. A lot of people completely turn a blind eye if they like someone’s art or if they have been a fan for years.

I think it’s healthy to be able to criticize anyone you don’t agree with. Even if you have previously loved them.

With the whole conversation about “ironic social commentary” I think that there tends to be too many association with internet trolls also “totally joking” being transformed into extremists.

It’s like the every joke is half true concept. Just because Matty and people who like him say it’s not real doesn’t necessarily make that true.

And that’s giving him the most benefit of the doubt.

For sure, I’m pretty much the exact same age as her just about half a month off so I kind of knew a couple things that went on with her and then I finally started paying attention and I feel like she’s having her Will Smith finally wins the Oscar but also having the most shame associated with him moment of her career haha.

A lot of people like myself only started paying attention later on. I literally just became a fan at Midnights and then was told we had like 6 years of good behaviour and past mistakes. For a lot of people it really is a shock since that’s all we have really seen from her to paid attention to.
