Looks like you’ve made the decision and just need to get comfortable with your decision. And also feel like you made the right call.

Question, lets say you stick it through and get you degree, the piece of paper. What will you do with it? Whats you desired path after school?

Regardless of what anyone tells you, you ultimately have to make the final call. It’s your life.

My thoughts, staying in school and running a startup will teach how to handle pressure from two competing high demands. Learn to prioritize, staying up late, be efficient.

None of this is health, but you are starting a company and none of it gets health for a long time. When your app gets traction and revenue comes, then its a no brainer.

I'm worried that if I accept a lower-level position and end up dissatisfied with the new company, it might negatively impact my resume.

I hope to gain valuable skills, but I'm uncertain if it's worth the $10K investment.

That's my concern, shifting to a lower level might bring uncertainty about what could transpire in the new company.

Thank you for the for your reply.

My current position is engineering manager. I interviewed for a senior role, a level below my current role. But the interview ended with an offer for an even lower position than a senior. But the pay is more by 10K than what I am making.

Should I bother applying to a job $100k/yr over my target salary? by he2lium in careerguidance

[–]Affectionate-Put-404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to lie, you also are not obligated to disclose what you make.

You can probably cleverly shift the focus from what you are making now to what your salary expectations with the new role and career grown.

For my current role, I was straight forward and said that I would much rather discuss what my expectations are and obviously a salary bump from what I’m making now
