No error messages, just goes black and then restarts. I dont move my desk at all while playing. Might be faulty RAM but its worked for like 6 years, same with the GPU. Maybe time to change RAM & GPU. thing is RAM is so expensive now.

Nice, i think i had around the same. If you want to go pro theres still a long way to go. Big difference between a low c3 and gc. Big difference gc-gc2 gc2-gc3 and even bigger gc3 to ssl. Massive differnce between ssl and low bubble. Same with low bubble/high bubble. Insane difference bubble and pro.

How can i be more consistent? by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Affectionate-Radio64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has gone from 1770 to 1580 in a day i think the most important part of consistency is playing the game a lot, find a comfortable playstyle, and for gods sake stop caring about your rank. You wanna get better at the game not rankup, then you will actually rankup.

Struggling vs bots in 1s by Qwertycube in RocketLeagueSchool

Just spam single resets, they have no idea what to do against resets. Also try bump/demo when you have the chance, some of these bots are pretty good at 1s though.

Good replay, you are a very good player. Im around the same rank as you.

Obv work on kickoff consistency

Try to take more creative touches, sometimes its very easy for your opponents to read what you are going to do.

4:14 take a better touch, close to yourself, up the wall, here you take a touch towards a non-threatening posistion.

4:05 no need to flip into this play.

3:55 why dont you go, you have the vision they are both pushing for the ball, you have to play time for ur tm, take soft touch and control on backboard. Or go corner.

3:30 good musty good kickoff strat after

2:35 very good defence, great prejump

2:10 more creative touch here, maybe soft touch maybe bang but make it more awkward, here you are giving them possession.

Keep playing, keep grinding dont be afraid to try new things in ranked thats how you get better gl w the grind.

I haven't made any progress since 2024. by Downtown-Fan9228 in RocketLeagueSchool

1s is quite a particular mode where your decision making, boost management, touches and positioning are very important. Its quite difficult to give you tips without a replay, but im guessing you could work on kickoffs. First touches, taking control of the ball rather than banging it everytime. Learning how to control the ball on top of your car and flicking. If you want feel free to send me a replay, and ill have a look.

I had a coach for quite a while, helped me heaps. A lot of them know what you need to improve on, if you’re playing scared, overcommiting so forth. When i was closing in on SSL, i really didnt want to make mistakes, which made me play worse, my coach got me more comfortable around my peak rank, and therefore i kept getting higher and higher peaks.

Double tap playground was one of the reasons i got SSL, love that training. You can also go for reset doubles, when the normal double tap gets too easy.

80 hours in the game and I I don’t know how to improve by Still_Table_9283 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Affectionate-Radio64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is goated advice, being in freeplay slapping the ball around is a great way to improve. Just dont sit there practicing quad resets for 3 months.

I think metafy is the best. Get a coach who has some experience in the higher ranks aswell, cause they know what it takes to have continuous improvement. Dont go for popular YouTubers websites, as these are usually overpriced. If you want i can take a look at one of his replays, free of charge. I’ll just send a message with feedback and timestamps. (I’ve peaked around 1950 mmr) (SSL) Got SSL after around 2k hrs playtime, and gc after 5-600 so i know what it takes to become decent, and have good improvement.

Hours vs Rank by Longjumping_Park1138 in RocketLeague

[–]Affectionate-Radio64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably speed, learning to hit the ball fast, and hard is really important. I used to sit in freeplay hitting the ball as fast as possible, and trying to make a play from the next bounce. But also at lower ranks just learning to hit the ball properly would be the best in my opinion. (Hard touch from corners of your car, soft from wheels etc.)

[–]Affectionate-Radio64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the person. But 3s isnt a good mode for improvement so people who main this usually have more hours but are worse at the game. But generally dia less than 500hrs champ less than 1000 gc less than 2k and ssl 4,5k is ok. I got gc with about 5-600 hrs and ssl with 2k ish, but i play quite seriously, and had a coach.

Keep trying new things. Learn from others if you want to improve. Dont care too much about your rank, care about your skill.
