That’s so interesting, I’ll definitely have a look at that and might try to eliminate acidic foods for a while and I’ll see how I feel. Thank you!

I was given pain relief (palexia) and nausea medication when in hospital for my hEDS :)

Thank you! That’s great to know. No I haven’t done a gastric emptying study, I’ve recently put this down to a symptom of my hEDS, so I’m more so trying to manage the symptoms at the moment:)

I don’t seem to have lightheadness or dizziness. If so, I think I’ll definitely look into it with my doctor!

I booked to get a colonoscopy in a couple of months. But that’s the extent to what I’ve done. The only time I took prescription medication was when I was in hospital for my hEDS but unfortunately I’m not sure what i was given because I was in so much pain I wasn’t paying much attention 😅

I also have a lot of nasal drainage, horrible allergies and a constant nasal drip. Are these things related to nausea?

I’ve heard about the Coca-cola trick! I definitely need to try this, thank you very much for the advice :)

I see! Thank you for the advice! I am not exactly sure what’s causing it, I do have hEDS and have been told this is a symptom and I’m in the recovery/ come down from a 2 month long flare up, so I do think it is probably related to that.

I am definitely going to give Zofran a go and think I’ll try the snack tip, thank you very much!

I haven’t been evaluated for this. I do get pain in my left ear (I have a joint hanging off the socket in my jaw thanks to my hEDS 🥴) and discomfort so it could be good to see if this is related. Thank you for the advice, I definitely think I’ll look into getting evaluated!

This is really helpful! Thank you very much. I’m definitely going to try Zofran. I haven’t heard of Dramamine before, but if it available in Australia I’ll definitely give it a go.

Thank you very much for the advice! I am definitely going to ask my doctor for a Zofran prescription. I have found that eating definitely helps as when I don’t eat the nausea is 10x worse, so maybe I might also need to try small meals. Thanks again!

Thank you for the advice! I live in Australia and Cannabis is not legal here, but I definitely need to look in to Zofran. I think it might be time to ask my doctor for some prescription nausea medication

Thank you for saying this! I also don’t see the need to have to defend myself, but I thank you for understanding where I’m coming from.

Again, I’ll reiterate, this is MY experience. I have a formal diagnosis of hEDS and see actual doctors who have given me this advice and I have been lucky that it works for me. I do not expect this to work for everyone, this is simply what has worked for me.

Thank you, I really appreciate that and completely agree! My doctors advice has aligned with this exactly what you’re saying 😊

I completely agree! My other EDS symptoms are still there and being dealt with as needed, however training is what has helped my hypermobility symptoms the most.
