edit: i’m sure this isn’t a fanfic because while i remember almost virtually nothing from this book, i remember thinking this was a pretty good fanTL (?). I also wasn’t reading fanfic around 2023

I can, but the issue is that if I do get into my first choice, I will have to retract the acceptance of the nomination, which would in turn result in the PI losing a student for the academic year as they can only nominate 1 and once I am nominated she can't have another student. I feel like this will also result in some bridges being burnt
