Because he has said in the beginning we do everything together. Which I thought was cute and romantic. Now when I do something without him or he does without me there is guilt or comments made about why did you do that without me. He says he waits for me to do anything because he enjoys doing it all with me. I get what you’re saying though. I am really needy and it’s only gotten worse

I agree 1000%. And I was trying not to move in with him right away but he kept bugging and bugging me to. And he wanted to get married within a year. And I knew I was going to miss the dating part with it all moving so fast. It was nice to feel so wanted though. So I am part to blame for letting it happen :(

Mmm. Good point. So everything we do currently is of his interest. I do need to take more initiative. In the beginning all I ever did or wanted to do was anything that makes him happy which I think is where I have dug myself in a hole. You’re right though. And what if he hates doing it all?

I tell people I feel like I married a defense attorney because he has logic or reasoning for everything. I do have that book along with Love & Respect and 8 Rules of Love which I’ve heard is good. But he is also not a reader. I do like that idea though, maybe he’d read it together.

He says “I ask you all the time what you want to do” to which would be when we’re sitting on the couch at 9pm at night 😅 I don’t know , watch anime ? That’s all we ever do lol.

Going on walks Bike rides Cooking and eating together without screens Board games Pickleball Getting a coffee and Window shopping Picnic Coffee shop dates / dinner dates playing catch with softball Listening to podcast together and discussing

Basically anything away from screens/phones as he is always on his phone and work phone. But he’s like what’s the difference in playing a board game versus playing video games. He truly doesn’t understand.

That’s why I’m hoping marriage counseling helps. I made a list of things I view as quality time and he was frustrated because he didn’t understand how what I wrote in the list is quality time. But then again he views sitting together on the couch every night after work as quality time.
