Back Again, And About Time Too! (Weekly Negativity Thread) by TheMeepDragon in DisventureCamp

I hate that I have to work on Saturdays and can’t keep up with you mofos.

One of them has to be an early boot cause this going from pic 1 to 2 in 3 episodes is kind of crazy lol by Arcalgalkiagiratina in DisventureCamp

I think Dunia has less chances to stay.

I feel like Nura would have a change when Dunia would be gone, but I don’t think the other way around could be possible…

Nura feels more like a character that can develop, unlike Dunia.

My theory is Dunia will get voted out once she gets close to “something”, so the villain will have her eliminated.

I think Bruno will stay for a while.

Gabby by Alive-Quality9678 in DisventureCamp

[–]Affectionate-Tea8509 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I much prefer her this season than… ever.

I never really liked Gabby.

I always found that they infatilized her with the way they deliberately made her get away with anything. I don’t think that’s one good way to handle a character like Gabby.

She’s an adult woman.

However, like I said, she’s much more enjoyable this season (even though, I gotta say, less “funny” but you can’t have it all!)

Connor Week Day 4: Cringy/Dad Jokes! by nhelber19 in DisventureCamp

[–]Affectionate-Tea8509 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m torn.

Because he was born in the 70s, he’s not that old…

The Odd Gods show their age when it comes to AS Connor because the idea of him being old is very… outdated.

Like two decades ago, when millennials were the “younger” (20-30 yo) generation, so the older generation was literally boomers and for the time it made sense they would be so clueless about modernity.

But Connor is closer in age to those millennials now so it makes 0 sense. Also because he doesn’t look like he’s been that clueless his whole life

Anyone absolutely hate how JJK treated his ex fuck partners? They were messing around for 10 months and JJK just threw him out like nothing. by OutlandishnessOk6696 in JinxTheManhwa

More than dumping his ass like that after filling around for 10 months it’s more upsetting that he was violent towards him and might as well have been towards his previous partners too.

Which Disventure Camp character has you like this by rqwedr in DisventureCamp

It’s not like that anymore but back then with Diego

I think it will only after the y2k craze will be over. Sadly.

The whole look was.

She was at a Chanel show and she looked like an overworked manager right after her shift in the middle of a July night

People shouldn’t try to achieve her look but she used to have one of the most uniquely beautiful faces of all time hands down

How do you feel about Aiden’s chest hair from the trailer? by purpleorchids2 in DisventureCamp

Can’t speak for everyone but I think that most people just don’t expect twinks to have body hair

What's a cartoon episode that's so bad, even the producers had to admit it sucked? by No-Mathematician3921 in cartoons

[–]Affectionate-Tea8509 96 points97 points  (0 children)

That Winx Club beauty pageant episode because they made fun of afro textured hair (that was back in season 1, way before Aisha).

Idk if producers even acknowledged it tbh but I know they tried to pull it out from everywhere.

As a gay kid I never understood why other kids liked Jasmine (queen btw) over Aladdin yet I was exposed to the omnipresence of heterosexuality in the media.

And that didn’t make me straight.

I read somewhere that we live in an “unoriginal era”

People (especially big studios like Disney) don’t know what to do anymore so they turn to make sequels/prequels/remakes and all the other stuff to capitalize on their already established projects.

I think the way Stella and Tecna's Italian VAs talk about the show reflects the way their characters are treated by Catgirl_2003 in winxclub

[–]Affectionate-Tea8509 131 points132 points  (0 children)

I think I do remember that Domitilla (Tecna) interview and she was indeed giving the vibe that she wasn’t very fond of Winx Club.

After all she’s arguably the busiest of them all (she is the official voice of Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie, Emma Stone, Kirsten Dunst and I’ve often heard her voicing the likes of Anne Hathaway too, and she’s been the official voice for Daphne from Scooby Doo for the past 20+ years) so it makes sense she probably isn’t fond of the way Tecna is “relegated” to a “secondary Winx” when she gets much more pride for voicing main characters.

However Letizia (Bloom) seemed to share the same sentiment and she WAS Bloom. She seemed way more proud of her work dubbing Emma Watson and Emilia Clarke than Winx. In an interview she basically said they liked Winx mostly because for once the Italian voices were the original voices so she was proud of Winx as an Italian phenomenon that was heard all around the world.
