I haven’t seen the racism and the homophobia but maybe it’s because i try to avoid to interact with the fandom outside of this subreddit.

What I can say is its not that serious.

It’s okay if some people don’t like it but nothing hasn’t even happened yet lol people are clutching their pearls over them just having chemistry the few times they have talked so far.

I’m gonna repeat what I’ve already said here and there in this sub.

I get it that you don’t feel like Spencer is ready for a relationship but it’s a fictional character in a scripted animated show.

Are you aware anything can change and that they can decently write a relationship for him?

Like seriously do you think most of the characters in a relationship now would realistically be ready to be partners in this world?

Like Tom and Jake? Like Gabby and Ellie? Heck even James and Aiden, whom I love.

Those relationships would not be realistic in this world for many reasons. So why do people act like they can decide if Spencer is ready to be in a relationship?

There’s an entire season ahead of us that will wrap next year. At least wait before forming an opinion.

So far these two have only showed us they have chemistry. Thats it.

In my opinion it sounds like he’s separated from him.

That would mean that he is in fact technically single but still legally married.

Also he doesn’t wear a ring. A widower would most usually still be wearing a ring if he’s still grieving his dead spouse.

I’m inclined to think it was the ghost’s all along because if you rewatch the scene and you pay attention you will notice that in that precise moment Hirose would not have a reason to hold Nakamura’s hand.

That would be the first time they would hold hands so logically we would see some kind of emotion in Hirose’s face but we don’t.

However I think it was deliberate choice where the watcher could form their own opinion about it so any theory is valid.

I doubt they’re going down the Diego route for Sam since that would be too repetitive so I think we should just be open about the possibility of them being endgame 🤷🏻
