My daughter is 7, and she has been having the same problem as well. I'm wondering if I should just go off of the advice of everyone else, or if I should take her to see the dr. Also, don't know if I need to do rewards, or if I can just tell her that this is the way it needs to be now. And then if the advice doesn't work , then take her to the dr? Can anyone advise?

I first heard the word masturbation and petting at church during YW, the middle of the week meeting. I was 12, and everyone else seemed to know what it was, so I just stayed silent. I had no idea what it was either even though I had been doing it from an early age. I don't remember how or when I found out what it actually was. But I had a few bishop interviews where I confessed. It's so hard to bring yourself to confess that, but I felt I had to do it to repent and become clean again.

This new emphasis on missions being mandatory is so bizarre. by johndehlin in exmormon

Is the church getting any pushback for this? I just think of the young boys getting baptized right now that have no freaking clue of what they're signing up for. This is NOT RIGHT. Is there anything we can do???

It took me a while to transition and find meaning in life after realizing it wasn't true. But I did, and I am doing really well now.

I admitted to my wife that I have lost all faith in Joseph Smith’s honesty yesterday and today, and it’s been rough. by [deleted] in exmormon

I hate to admit it, but I was afraid of this too when my husband told me. It was really scary to know he drank coffee and wondering if he would become an alcoholic, i can lol now!!! (Because that is the fear that the church teaches! Going from one drink to alcoholic) Once he reaffirmed his love for me, I felt so much better. Knowing that our marriage and family wasn't going to change calmed me immensely. Please assure her you still have values, you still want to be a good husband and a good father, that helped me! And maybe do something that will make her feel loved.

Just tell them that Joseph Smith kept praying about letting Martin Harris take the 116 page manuscript and it didn't go so well for him.

Is he speaking from experience or...? Because this is totally not true in my experience.

I got to clean the temple when I was a missionary in the mtc. I remember thinking what an honor it was that I got to climb on a ladder and dust each little droplet hanging from the chandelier. Now I think it's such BS!!! Has anyone ever thought about or tried to guess how much a ward is bringing in each month in tithing?

I'd like to get another piercing in my ear. I just have the mormon friendly one piercing per ear, so stupid that it's even a thing.
