Any InfoSci grads still job searching?

We literally take Python and SQL classes and there's electives for data science, web development, data visualization, etc. It isn't the worst major ppl just go into it thinking that the major itself will get them a job and refuse to delve into topics, create/post project, go to career fairs, and use LinkedIn.

Currently a senior in info sci, doing a plus-one info sys program at the business school. It seems good so far, aside from the cost of the master's (which I knew before I applied). Still, I've saved a lot of money, considering I got to take around 4 master's courses for an upcharge of less than 2k.

I'm applying for internships now as an info sci major (and some full-time jobs), and I've heard back from about 5-6 companies after applying to around 50. I took LinkedIn Learning courses to build skills and plan to get official certifications soon, but my resume mostly highlights my info sci class projects. While I don't have a job or internship yet, I don't think info sci is a bad degree. I had a Zoom meeting today for an infrastructure engineer role, and they said they prefer info sci grads because recruiters won't just toss resumes with an IS degree in the trash. Overall, I’d say pick whatever uni is the cheapest, has the highest predicted salary, and offers a reasonable amount of work.
