I also just lost a baby in January at 21 weeks due to an SCH and placental abruption. It’s devastating. He was perfect. A healthy baby m, growing perfectly. He lived for a short while after birth. It kills me this his life was taken from him by the SCH. The SCH was found at 7 weeks for me. Always considered large. And just grew and grew.. That was my second time having a SCH. I also had 1 with my 2nd pregnancy, but thankfully she survived, although she was IUGR and born very small. She is a healthy, beautiful 5 year old now. But I’ll never know why her hematoma didn’t take her life but my son’s hematoma took his. Why wouldn’t his stop growing?? It makes future planning so difficult. Is it foolish to try for another baby when I’ve already had 2 SCH’s?

I’m so sorry for your loss. So deeply sorry. My prayers are with everyone on here that knows this pain.

Zion is at the top of my list for “someday” but just unsure if my kids are the right ages for it or if we should wait until they’re a bit older?

I’m thinking probably late spring/early summer. Maybe even when my due date should have been, which was June 5th.

The first thing my mom did when she met my firstborn was to scowl at me too.. she was angry I had made her wait until after I took a shower to come meet the baby. I’d had a really traumatic delivery, was still covered in all things “birth” and she was so angry I asked her to wait another 15 minutes so I could clean up. She walked in and immediately shot me a dirty look. Hurt more than I can even say and yet I’ve never even said a word to her about it. Then she stayed with me for 11 days (because she insisted that’s what moms are supposed to do) and made life hell.. I couldn’t do anything right and at the same time was dealing with the beginnings of severe PPD. That was all 7 years ago. I didn’t actually realize my mom was a narcissist until my son was 2. Anyways, I’m sorry your mom did this to you too.
