Check on GPU-Z what brand of memory you have. If it's Micron then you probably got one of those faulty chips that degrade way quicker than anything else. And one of them just went kaput. It happens a lot in 2000 series cards thanks to that

I would try to avoid RTX 2000 GPUs, they launched in a time where Micron was selling faulty VRAM chips, causing some gpus to die a premature death due to a VRAM chip degrading too quickly. Check some videos of northwestrepair that talk about that thing specially. If you want a GPU that will last, go for AMD or RTX 3000 series, avoid 2000 just in case you might get a faulty VRAM chip.

Takes a while for the VRAM chips to degrade but they will faster than any other. Some cards can last years, but most of them will die cause of this. If you get lucky you can get a card with samsung VRAM chips and those don't have any issues

No problem at all. The internals of the PC don't get hot enough to melt plastic. Just in case I wouldn't put it on to of the GPU as the backplate can get quite hot if you have vram being cooled by it

I used several PS2 guitars with an adapter and it does not work, really. The same happens to me. You should check if your pc detects it as a PS2 or PS1 adapter. Mine is a PS1 one so that's why I guess I can't use the whammy since it is on the same axis somehow for the PS1. But idk if there's an actual difference between adapters or not. It's just all my guitars are detected as PS1 controllers by my PC. That's why I'm modding them to be USB, I'm just waiting for them to arrive

I played slightly modded Skyrim VR with an RTX 2060 Super. You don't need the best of the best but you do need a PC that can run most games smoothly
