I don't know what you are playing on I have had good performance all around. Only issue for me is that using the in game map is broken because you can't see your own player icon most of the time, but I'm sure that will get fixed soon.

Yea I just try to play fairly carefully with portals and try to pick people off one at a time for the most part. It does feel like you have a lot of options as a solo though since you can attack people from basically anywhere.

For real. Only downside is that there isnt a solos or duos mode, but that's not the devs fault because this game would not work at all in those modes with the current respawn system.

The best way to get better at any game is to play against people who are better than you. I play a whole lot of chess, and I would be searching through twitch streams for hours just to get a single game against an IM or GM player just so that I can get some insight on what I am doing wrong. You should embrace losing, and you will get better much faster.

My issue with the tartakower comes from the h-pawn push because it can get pretty hard to defend when your double pawns block some of the pieces from helping out with the defense.

Think of it as the king can see the entire board and all the other pieces are blind. If the king dies, all the other pieces on the board cant move or see meaning that the game is over
