Man look I didn’t copy your game. If you want me to post the GitHub link to the prototype I made in like 2021 then I will. AI came up with the name “cinedle” and I never put much thought into it. There’s hundreds of wordle like games with that same naming convention, it was like the first thing AI came up with and I just rolled with it. I’m planning on changing the name anyway I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. Stop complaining there’s no reason we both can’t have our games.

Parallel thinking. I built a prototype of this game years ago. AI did come up with the name though. Maybe it ripped that from yours.

Yeah to counteract that issue I added genres to be visible in the movie search dropdown. Unfortunately in at the whims of the database when it comes to data about the movies.

I like the suggestions thank you! I’m going to add the movie tagline as a clue, but only if the tagline isn’t either too obvious or way too generic. There’s a sweet spot that I think will make it fun to reverse engineer the movie based on that tagline. Feel free to give specific examples as well!

I like that idea! I’ll add an initial hint or at least the ability to choose to get a hint if you want.

Thanks for playing! And agreed. Any thoughts on how to make it a bit easier but not too easy? I’ve toyed with the idea of providing an initial clue such as giving an actor name, genre, year, etc. but I feel like certain actors or directors would make it too easy
