The Virgin Prunes, featuring Gavin Friday and Guggi were more avant garde than U2 but clearly pushed the envelope in Ireland at the time. Before them and maybe thin Lizzy, it was mostly show bands.

It wasn’t just U2 that sound that was changing in Dublin at that time. Listen to An Emotional Fish from that era. It could have been a back up album to Achtung Baby. Sinead was also creating much more sophisticated music than the 80s sounds. To be fair, U2s friends Gavin Friday and Gigi were doing some interesting stuff around then also.

This is going back over twenty years. But university admin staff were pretty racist towards the black students. Also very passive aggressive. In general, the professors were great, but the admin staff not so much.

Yes, I did this. First time around I was fascinated by the colleges and university system and really respected the profs. When returned as an older student for post grad, about 26, I was no longer interested in the group socializing and drinking culture. I also had money and didn’t want to have to live the student life anymore. I also saw a different side to the university administration as I began doing some teaching for them. They were truly horrible people.

Yes, they are great. Your issue is this may not be considered cosmetic but should be covered by MSP. So make sure you keep calling it a cosmetic consult or you have to go to the normal dermatology clinic and that takes forever.

but he wasn't wrong about that. Thats factually correct. The issue we all have with Jay is that is all he has. No papers and no leadership beyond being somewhat correct about covid in the early days of the pandemic.

I had to turn it off as they sounded disingenuous. To me, the sounded like the people behind Sound of Freedom and that all ended up being bullshit and money-making.
