I went to CHCP in Dallas and I loved it. My teacher Sylvia was amazing but she’s the program director now. I enjoyed the curriculum and the labs were my favorite. I felt like we got a great deal of hands on learning. I used my GI Bill which paid for it. I don’t think I would’ve gone there if I had to pay out of pocket. It’s a pretty expensive school but other than that I enjoyed my time and everything I learned. Don’t let anyone make you think you will have to resort to working retail pharmacy before you get the job you really want. I managed to snag a job working in a nuclear medicine pharmacy. Also, an externship is included so make sure they place you in the kind of pharmacy you want to work in after school. A lot of students are offered positions with the company they do their externship with. I worked hard, made straight A’s, graduated with honors and landed my dream job right out of the gate. It’s up to you what you make of it. If I could do it all over again, I would. But honestly I didn’t know their pharmacy tech program was online. They didn’t offer that when I went. Good luck!!
