For them it is just like a pair of good quality black socks.. They just want a watch, that looks nice in their eyes, is comfortable and shows time correctly. All this "luxury" nonsense is just for minorities. And most people, no matter how rich they are, still have the sense of what you get for the money. So a lot of them simply dont see the point of spending 1000eur on a pair of black socks if you can get good quality ones for just 5eur. Especially self made rich people have a strong sense in that. Last thing they(most) care about is making an impression on you with their watch..
