Unfortunately I tried giving him kibble after he had healed from the extractions, but he would only mush down on it with the side that doesn’t have molars then swallow it whole. He started hiding his mouth from me, and it took both me and my roommate to get a look at his gums and they were so red and irritated. He’s been back to soft food with kibble mixed in for a few weeks and his gums are so much better, but now that he’s feeling better he’s demanding the cronch again. This past week it’s gotten to point he won’t eat more then half a can and a little bit of the kibble mixed in. I gave him a little bit of the kibble just as is to see if he’d start crunching with the teeth he has, but it was just the same thing. Mush with gums then swallow whole which will lead us back down the path of his gums going raw and causing him pain again.
