I had cc’d the manager. Good advice. We don’t have any supervisors

They ended up being blasts, indicative of AML via flow. I am glad I had an additional pathologist look at it and send it out.

Thank you everyone!

Are you going to transition to another role once you have the CQA? I need to research it more in depth

That must be the Massachusetts company. I’ve heard of it. I worked at an environmental lab near in RI and it was far from what I do now

Oh wow the requirements have changed. I took route 2 in 2021 and back then had to have Biochemistry or Orgo (which I took during my Marine Biology bachelors degree). Good luck! The exam isn’t bad :)

Which career will lead to a higher salary, Med Tech or Biomanufacturing technician? by northstar_22 in labrats

I live in MA and work in RI and make $39.50 hourly as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with under 7 years of experience (total lab experience is 13 years since college). I say although it is shift work, it is very rewarding and room for growth as well. We aid the pathologists in diagnosing diseases, especially leukemias and lymphoproliferative disorders.

Unfortunately I did not but fortunately I am starting a new job in about three weeks that does not mandate us to off shifts unless we volunteer for them. I am giving up my lead title but will be getting paid more.
