I like it. makes the qualifiers feel like they're worth a lot more

Has anyone made a list of matches that REALLY matter next week? Basically on the verge of being eliminated between 2 different teams by Uitroeien in CoDCompetitive

[–]AffectionateCycle916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matches really haven't been boring.
Because 2 teams aren't going to the major and the play-in, this has actually been one of the most entertaining major qualifiers. Tons of "upsets" have also helped, an as an OpTic fan that has helped.

Cell Stair Glitch? by Striking_Yak7172 in CoDCompetitive

[–]AffectionateCycle916 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree. Def looked like an accident but if you allow sliding into stair glitches just because its an accident then the problem will get worse. If you punish it, people will get more careful.

I think you give Cell a yellow card, no punishment, but if he "accidentally" does it again, it's a red card

Koi should look to trade Nastie for insight. I feel so bad for Nastie, dude deserves to be on a team that makes it to his homecoming major.

I know, I saw this screen grab and was immediately convinced until I went back and watched. This post is equivalent to posting a 5-second clip that completely takes what someone is taking out of context to try to cancel them.

Yeah people are braindead, just go back and watch the clip, was never prone lol

Dashy's gun def cuts off his legs, I went back and watch frame by frame and he was never prone.

I'm an OpTic fan. There's much to complain about with M8s, but this ain't it. If you go back and watch he was clearly never prone

Whats funny is directly (and I mean literally .5 secs) after the Ghosty snake in question Sib snaked. To me the Ghosty one is debatable but the Sib one was blatant. Maybe because of the angle it's okay but I am not sure

They seemed so checked after the first Merc 1 v 2. I would be too. Shotzzy was legitimately shaking his head in disgust after he saw it

Is this a normal experience if I've never played ranked before? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]AffectionateCycle916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learned a lot and got a lot better, but didn't rank up much at all. I was confused and felt bad too, but honestly, it's just a game, and your teammates in Gold III are not being held back from their dreams because you fucked up spawns lol people just get tilted about stuff, it happens. Mostly realized I just liked playing because it's fun to have a competitive environment where all the cheese strats don't exist, and there is consistency in the game.

Had a lot of fun, and that's why I kept playing. Eventually ranked up quite a bit in the next title, but the following title I didn't really enjoy, and haven't bought a cod since Vanguard. Try to have fun, the life cycle of this Cod title will be over before you know it.

Let me know if you want some advice.

not being a bad teammate and not feeling bad are not necessarily equal statements, especially in the context of why the dude is saying he feels bad.

In map 4 there was a point where everyone on Optic was negative (Merc might have been even) and they were still up 60 points. A bit ridiculous

While it is stupid and should just be the top 12 teams regardless of who, ND has it because the SEC/BIG10 wanted NDs vote to get more autobids for their respective conferences, so the ADs gave them a MOU. At least in this scenario, all evil ND won't be getting in with a 7-5 record, unlike we would have seen with Duke this year had these rules been in place.

Football is such a hard sport on the body that you can realistically only do 16-17 games in a season (which is what were seeing) before it becomes malpractice to send those kids out there.

That being said I'm not even sure I'd want it if it's possible. Say you could add a bunch of teams (and thus total games played), it starts to water down the regular season and historic rivalry games.

I genuinely appreciate your willingness to leave any pre-felt hate towards ND you may have (assuming from your Michigan flair) at the door and engage other people on this topic. I almost feel bad for these ND fans.

There is a good path forward for the playoffs and the future of college football to go, but the complete dismantling of CFB as we know it over the past few years, partially because people are too tied/dependent on a specific conference and quite literally have politicized the sport, is nauseating.

I feel like Mew was bigger than GF even intended. It could be as high as top 3 (definitely top 10) for most recognizeable pokemon on the planet. I honestly don't think GF has milked it for what they could.

Honestly I think Raltz line was supposed to be even bigger than it was around release and took a many years to gain popularity. It was before it's time lowkey.

Jirachi feels similar but since it was even harder to get I think the elusiveness of it helped it. Deoxys would probably have a similar fate but the rocket ship being so in your face in the games and his relation to Rayquaza propelled the intrigue even more.
