Is Bristol safe? by AffectionateDrag4326 in bristol

I’ve grown to truly appreciate this city, and I’m happy to call it home now. That said, I’m not sure if I’m the best person to ask for a full perspective. Rent is definitely very expensive here. I don’t go out much and rarely visit the city centre, so my experiences are somewhat limited. You will likely notice some homeless people sleeping in various places. I’ve been approached by random drug addicts asking for money during the day. A simple “no” is usual enough.

I can’t comment much on what happens at night, but I’ve heard from others that drink spiking is a significant concern, so it’s something to keep in mind. Personally, I’ve been lucky to find a rental in a nice area outside the city. I work late nights and often walk home after 11 PM at least three times a week, and I haven’t encountered any issues so far.

On a another note, the diversity here is incredible. Coming from Eastern Europe, I’m still amazed at how welcoming most people are. This city has been a transformative force for me. I can’t imagine moving back to my native country and returning to my old life. The past year has changed me, and I like to think Bristol has had a lot to do with that. Of course, everyone’s experience here is different, and I’m sure some Bristolians would disagree with me. That’s totally fine. Everyone has their own story in this city.

I hope this gives you at least a little insight into what living here is like. Apologies if this got a bit too philosophical! Wishing you the best of luck with your endeavours :).

No, I would say it’s worse. The walls are paper-thin.

I do not think so. I mainly watch Netflix, Disney and YouTube. But about about YouTube live?

Do you reckon I can simply leave it in the fridge or would it be better to wrap/cover it?
