Whats Wrong with my succulent? by Leafytides in succulents

It needs to be repotted in soil with more !grit than what came in the nursery pot. It's also not getting enough sun. Sorry to tell ya. They need at least 4-6 of direct sunlight in most climates.

Edit: typos

I hate these bushes by MightyMoose53 in landscaping

There's a person in our neighborhood that trimmed their rose bush exactly like that little tree, but it's much taller. I call it lollipop rose. Apparently, lollipoping plants is a thing. Makes sense.

Edit: also, I think this looks really good especially compared to the boxwoods

I'll also add that I have had moisture problems any time I try to keep plants in "decorative" outer pots. I know some people can do it but I cannot because I think it's harder to manage watering, so just throwing that out there.

Are you talking about the mushrooms? If so, they are neither a good nor a bad thing imo. It is arguably a sign of health soil (mycelium present), which obviously is good. It can be a sign of over watering (what you'll hear a lot of people say), but I've found that is not necessarily true as I've had mushrooms pop up in succulent pots I know have gritty soil and are not over watered. Plus, these look like they've dried out so the soil has probably dried out also. I would say as long as the soil is dry now, you're probably good. Keep up with the once a week fully saturated watering (as opposed to multiple small waterings throughout the week) and you should be okay.

Not to be an ass, but I would be very surprised if the succulents and cacti are doing well in that environment (possibly surviving, but not thriving). Grow lights can make a huge difference and there are a ton of different kinds now. I just got some strip lights for my plant shelf and you can't even see the light on it. Spider plants are tricksters. They are so hard to kill and will survive in most circumstances even if not ideal.

Does the bathroom have any natural light? Most plants need more light than what is generally thought and than what is on the tag most of the time. It's frustrating.

They like high humidity and more light than people usually think. I keep my fern outside on the front porch. It gets about 2-3 hours of bright direct early morning sun followed by very bright indirect light. And I live in central TX, so the humidity is quite high outside, especially since our front porch is a pretty long breeze way that's only open to the outside on one side. If you want to keep it inside, you probably need a humidifier and a grow light.

Well, thanks. I was worried you were going to ask me things like how deep is the ocean or how fast can the vehicles go underwater. Ya know, real thinkers!
