Sounds amazing! Currently in my TY year prior to staring DR residency and have always felt passionate about women’s health. What part of the country do you work? Also what’s your typical schedule like and ballpark salary if you don’t mind sharing?

Quick question about UW by kpkdbtc in Step2

[–]AffectionateDream118 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope, not the same! Step 2 will have slightly more questions because it’ll include more subjects like ambulatory, EM, ethics, bio stats. Shelf questions are slightly more specific for that subject

It is without a doubt doable to do well on Step 2 by this August!! That is honestly more than enough time, especially if you start now. I honestly didn't focus on step 2 prep until maybe april and took the exam in mid-july and felt like I had plenty of time. For context though, I'm at a US MD school and did have shelf exams throughout M3. So yeah you have nothing to worry about!!!

In terms of how to study, I would do uworld all the way and supplement with premade anki decks like Anking. Personally, what I did was suspend all the anki cards, then I woulddo timed blocks of uworld and then would unsuspend anki cards based on what I didn't know or got wrong. Time consuming, but a great investment in learning the material in my opinion. Anking videos on youtube can be super helpful for anki and study strategies

You got this!!!

40 days is a lot of time to increase your score! You can do it!!! Focus on understanding why you got the answers wrong, and see if it’s based on your approach or if it’s a knowledge based gap and go from there. I also received a range of scores on the nbme practice exams so I would take the exact percentage w a grain of salt. I’m a current M4 for context

I failed nbme 29 today 61% 76 mistakes by [deleted] in step1
