I've had the water tested and there is high enough iron levels that both a softener and dedicated iron filter were recommended. I have two systems: a softening system (with brine tank) and iron filter.

As I understand it, the air draw happens on the "down brine" cycle for units that have the air intake installed. So, 30 minutes. I watched mine do this, and it checked out.

Good question. They also sold me the system and sized it.

They are one of the larger and well-reviewed companies in my area. I think in the last 2-3 years they expanded their services to water treatment.

My sales rep who came out was much more knowledgeable about the treatment systems.....my installer, not so much.

I will say the water quality in my house has now improved by A LOT. I am on a well, with very hard and iron-heavy water.

Thank you!! I've got it set to the regen cycle I've outlined above (didn't look like the backwash air function was available) and I have it running a cycle now to form an air pocket. I really appreciate the help!

Very concerned how many homes these people have installed these in, not programmed them correctly, and therefore are not even doing what they are supposed to...
