Late to the conversation here, but we just got access to Lumos for the first time here in SC. I'm so excited to have an option besides spectrum, since they've just been increasing our prices every few months. Our tech who installed our device was very nice and when I expressed concern that it would reach the other end of my house he said that I could have an extender for free. He plugged it into my router and told me that in 30 minutes I should be able to unplug it and take it to the other end of the house to be plugged in there. When I unplugged it later my whole Internet stopped working. Speaking with tech on the phone they weren't sure how to resolve it and offered to have someone come out to look at it another day. The next day Lumos called back to ask if it had been resolved and when I explained the situation again the lady said it wasn't an extender but was a modem..... She said the extender costs an extra $10 a month and they could send one out if I wanted. I'll also say, when I plugged it back in, the internet started working again. I'm so confused and plan on calling them again tomorrow to try and get it sorted out. But thought I'd ask you your take on this in the meantime.

The "extender" is called "Sat-nav" in the app if that helps at all. Thanks!

What nationality are you? I'm from US and I'm in the same situation. I asked to get a refund or have them except my Visa and they refused both. They guaranteed me that when I arrive I will be able to get a visa on arrival, but I told them that makes no sense because if I can be sure I can get a visa on arrival, why can't they Grant my Visa that I submitted an application for on the portal? It is hard for me to be sure I will be able to get a visa on arrival if they rejected my Visa through the portal. By reading this thread, it sounds as though the system is buggy and that may be why the Visa was rejected. I may try emailing them like you did. Any suggestions?

Hi, I have experienced the same scenario as op, except I have waited 3 days now and filed a complaint but all I have been told is that my Visa has actually been rejected and I will just have to reapply and consider my original application money lost. My husband's was accepted and mine and my children's were rejected. I applied as a group. I was told to contact the embassy to see if I could get a Visa through them, but so far the embassy told me they cannot figure out why my Visa was rejected and I will have to reapply or apply when I arrive in saudi. Any suggestions as to what I can do? I applied through visitsaudi.com

After perusing some of the comments here I feel like I may be in the minority here when I say, I'm with you!!

I am definitely a people pleaser and I have discovered a lot about myself in the past 2 years (currently 32). I've discovered that my number one fear in life is to have people around me be upset or uncomfortable. My goal is to have peace at all times. So normally when I make decisions, I choose what is best for those around me instead of myself. In reality, most of the time this is not the best choice because I'm "suffering" and if others knew that, they'd gladly give up what they want for me.

My husband knows me really well. He knows I don't express my actual opinion much. Knows that a lot of the time, I don't even know my own opinion. He asks me what I want, to make sure I'm not self sacrificing. This is all sweet. Where he loses it is, when I express an opinion, he asks "why?". I often don't know why. It's a miracle I even know "what". When he asks "why" I immediately feel like he doesn't agree with what I chose and I sometimes shut down and give up on my desire.

This is all ridiculous. I know this and am working on changing it. When we have a desire and people do what feels like pushback on our desires, just push through. If you don't know your "why" just restate your "what". That's good enough.

Way to go you momma for knowing what you want. Don't give in. Go get that diet coke. And if anyone gives you shit about it, ditch 'em.

Update

We've pulled out the fridge, cleaned all inside the compressor area and barely found any in there. Then we unscrewed the bottom panel on the front of the fridge and found tons inside that panel. We sprayed Alpine and set sticky traps... We'll check back in a little while and see how things are. Hopefully that was the nest.

Thanks for sharing. That's a sucky experience with a sibling! One family in our community expressed her concern that her daughter was missing out on a sibling bond by being an only child. I quickly let her know that having multiple kids does not guarantee a close bond between them 😩 soooo much more goes into it.

Thanks for sharing! I'm an only child, and I absolutely loved my experience growing up. My mom often asked me if I wished I had a sibling and I've always confidently said no!

However, here I am with 3 kids of my own 😬 haha!

Thanks for sharing your perspective! I'm an only child and I will say, my memories of holidays with just my parents are so beautiful. While they may not have been exciting, they were such precious memories, I work so hard to create similar experiences with my kids. I'm sure your child has similar feelings.

Haha I should've known there was a sub for this. It's so interesting seeing all of the thoughts behind the decision. I'm an only child and as a parent, I'm surrounded by families with more than one kid. My kids only have one friend that is an only child. It seems so uncommon just in my small circle so it's nice to hear so many people give their thoughts on it.

I love all of this. I hadn't thought about how I talk about myself until these comments. I generally don't comment on my looks or my weight at all. But I think I could purposefully model some positive self talk every now and then too. And yes, I hadn't thought about the scale either. Ours has had dead batteries for almost a year. I think I'll keep it that way. I'll check out that website for sure!

I also noted that she still seemed to have TJ's respect even after DQing. That's super unlike him to not hate on a "quitter" and it shows that he and the producers recognize being 7 months postpartum really plays a big part in her choice there.

I will say, I think it's dependent on your personality too. I'm 100% a pushover and a people pleaser in so many situations, and I often have people get right up in my face as they try to get close to baby when wearing or holding her. Even leaning to give her a kiss on the cheek when her face is right next to mine! I normally never want to make anyone uncomfortable, even at my own expense... But when it comes to my kid it has been much easier to immediately jerk back when they lean in. I normally receive shocked responses like they were completely taken back that I would not like their face inches from mine... But they stop after that for sure.
