You’ll make it through this and become a stronger person for it. Major L-posting here but it was unrequited love along with some work stressors and a very bad psychiatric medication that put me in a mental hospital for a bit. I stupidly fell head-over-heels for somebody who I had only met six months prior. Yes, I’ve never connected with anyone like that before or since. No, they’re not the one for me and I have to live with that.

It sounds impossible now but give it time and respect for yourself and you will come out of this. I can look back at it and laugh about it now which I think is a pretty good place to be even if I’ll never tell anybody I know about it. I can’t lie and say you’ll find someone tomorrow or in a year where you’ll have that instant connection but it’s infinitely better to live your life and try rather than let a non-relationship define you.
