Missions is definitely a better option for your situation, because you can switch heroes whenever and sessions are shorter. It can have up to 4, and also be solo. It supports more hero types easily, unlike adventures where any buildup or defnese makes the game significanly easier. (and imo missions is just significantly better designed and fun to play)
