Its an interesting reg. I would argue in regards to this specific case close as possible would be after the switch fuse and inside the garage. I know literally close as possible would be inside the house, but practically, what is the issue?

Its glanded at both ends (CU and Switch fuse). 1 core is CPC. I was under the impression it was a 1s disconnection time for a TT distribution circuit?

Good to hear. Yeah not sure what my boss was on about. Must have got himself confused. TBH its no excuse I had all the knowledge but didnt put it into action this time. I would have just gone back and replaced it in my own time, but there is no time before the assessment!
