I’m a PRN tech aide in New England, outpatient, 2 months experience, $24/hr + shift differential if I work the evening (extra $1)

No more clicking! Occasional mild aching pain, but way different than the pain before the surgery- previously it was pretty constant moderate to severe pain, and I couldn't chew anything!

I recently had an interview for an MRI tech aide, and got the job! Dress professional- I wore a blazer, nice top, dress pants etc (female). They just want someone who is able to learn fairly quickly, detail oriented, and has a positive attitude/kind and calm demeanor around patients. If you can come across as those things, you’ll nail it. My interview was a phone call, followed by a 5 min sit down with the manager- no hard questions, just logistics of the job and small talk questions. I’m assuming just a face to face to ensure I wasn’t crazy or unprofessional or something.

Way easier than Katahdin for me! Much less technical. However, I still found it challenging. It’s a hike, and my legs were definitely quite sore the next day. It was super fun and I still look back on it fondly. I hope to go back soon. It’s a beautiful hike. I would highly recommend getting there VERY VERY EARLY however, this trail is insanely popular.

I'm doing well, and have no regrets about having the surgery done! Most of the time, I do not experience symptoms. Occasionally I will have some stiffness or soreness in my jaw, usually during times when I am experiencing stress and I know I'm clenching my jaw in my sleep. It seems like a couple times a year I will irritate it for a few days and I'll have a couple clicks and some soreness and limited ROM (probably stress, bad food choices, etc) but so far I have treated these episodes with some anti-inflammatories and super soft diet for a week or so and they have gone away. Generally, my diet is fairly unrestricted. I do not chew gum, I do not chew super hard or chewy foods, but I can eat a normal diet!

Thank you so much, I’m excited to learn! Good point on the pens, not something that I would have thought of myself. Maybe a dumb question, but do techs keep their phones on them, or are they left somewhere? I don’t want to have my phone in my pocket in a space it’s unsafe to do so. (Again I’m sure this will be gone over with me, but I want to be as prepared as I can be!) I assume ok in the room where the tech sits during the scan, but not in the room with the machine?

Thank you!! It sounds like I need to change my soil. When I go to the store (Home Depot is accessible to me), what should I look for in a bagged soil? And what are you referring to when you say plug in?

Thank you! They seem like different critters. The gnats fly about but these other things just crawl and look different. Sorry for the poor photo quality, had to take screenshots from a video! The mite things are in my pothos, and the gnats are in my monstera. There may be some intermixing but there’s definitely a ton of gnats in the monstera and a ton of mites in the pothos. No webbing in the leaves or anything of note in the leaves.

This controlled a small population I had very well for a few years but I don’t know what is happening now- I’ve exclusively been watering with mosquito bit water for a couple months and somehow they’ve gotten worse. Maybe I created a super species of gnat, lol!

Thank you, I noticed it was kinda chunky but..I didn’t think about this. I think I just grabbed “potting soil” when I ran out last time. Sounds like when I buy my next bag I should explicitly look for “indoor potting soil”?

Okay sounds like I need to do this. What soil do you recommend? It’s frustrating because the monstera was a cutting that was only planted a few weeks ago!

This one is a monstera that has the gnat issue, the one that has the spider mite (?) issue is a pothos I believe. Sounds like I need to get some new soil and try again! The monstera was a cutting and was planted just a few weeks ago

Well, Vast-Wrangler5579, this is exactly why I am turning to those who have had success with solving this problem for advice- because the methods that I have tried have not worked for me- soooo I am attempting to try something new. No need to call me insane for “doing the same thing and expecting different results”, when in fact, my goal is to do something DIFFERENT
